How to create secure passwords

- You can use a pass phrase as a part of password - use a sentence you can easily remember and create a password using the first letter from each word. Note: you should combine it with other measures, such as password length, upper-case and lower-case letters.
- To improve the strength of your password, avoid using only look-alike substitutions of numbers or symbols such as to replace an 'i' with a '1', etc. But these substitutions can be effective when combined with other measures, such as length, upper-case and lower-case letters.
- Passwords shouldn't contain dictionary and/or foreign words.

Password protection - how to keep passwords safe
• Use different passwords for each account.
You should use different usernames and passwords for each web site and application. That way if one gets compromised, the others are still safe.
• Regularly change your passwords.
You should change your password at least every 30 - 60 days. The more important the password is, the more frequently the password should be changed. Old passwords should not be re-used for a period of 6 months.
